We are a registered nonprofit, established in 2023, representing Indigenous peoples from the North, South, East, and West of Turtle Island. For decades and across generations, our network has worked in solidarity and collaboration to restore biocultural heritage and revitalize subsistence practices centered on salmon, bison, potatoes, corn, and milpa.
Through an Indigenous cultural food hub rooted in ceremony, language, and the arts, we strengthen intergenerational knowledge, advance community food sovereignty, and build solidarity economies.
VISION
We envision an intercultural future of Indigenous Food Sovereignty, where the Biocultural Heritage of this land is protected, held in sovereignty by Indigenous communities, with thriving ancestral food systems in place to sustain and hold up Indigenous knowledge and lived experiences.
We are working towards a world where Indigenous solidarity economies flourish within corridors of biocultural interconnection: where humans and the more-than-human find nourishment, shelter, and healing within abundant and diverse ecosystems of land, water, and food.
Central to this vision is the empowerment of the next generation, ensuring they are equipped with the critical knowledge, practices, skills and resources to navigate and address the challenges of the modern world while honoring and perpetuating their cultural heritage.
